Privacy Policy
PokerDeck collects the data needed to run private social poker rooms, secure accounts, process paid plans, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Who runs PokerDeck
PokerDeck is operated by PokerWorks Ltd. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when we share it with service providers, and how to contact us about privacy requests.
What we collect
- Account data — email address, display name, authentication metadata, consent records, and account settings.
- Product data — room, club, tournament, table, player, invite, lobby, chat, presence, and gameplay records needed to operate PokerDeck. Chat and room content may be visible to the host and other participants in that private room, club, tournament, or table.
- Billing data — plan selection, checkout status, subscription references, Paddle customer and transaction identifiers, and payment-provider webhook events. Card details are handled by Paddle, not stored by PokerDeck.
- Technical data — device, browser, IP address, approximate location from network data, logs, diagnostics, security events, and performance metrics.
- Support data — messages, screenshots, troubleshooting details, and account context you provide when asking for help.
How we use data
- Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve PokerDeck.
- Authenticate users and protect private rooms, lobbies, and account settings.
- Operate tournaments, table sessions, invitations, standings, and history.
- Process subscriptions, invoices, refunds, and payment-provider webhooks.
- Review chat, room, and gameplay records where needed to investigate abuse, safety reports, service integrity, or support requests.
- Detect abuse, enforce product rules, and maintain service integrity.
- Send transactional emails, service notices, and optional communications you choose.
Consent and optional communications
PokerDeck records explicit, versioned consent when you submit data through tournament join, tournament registration, magic-link sign-in, and optional email opt-in flows.
- Required consent covers processing needed to operate the product.
- Optional consent covers non-transactional messages such as reminders, standings, product updates, and beta announcements.
- Stored consent records include the source surface, accepted scope flags, and the policy version in force when the choice was made.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, gameplay continuity, security, preferences, and session management. Optional analytics, marketing, and support cookies are used only where allowed by your choices and applicable law.
Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked to choose whether optional cookies may be used before those tools are activated. You can also control cookies in your browser settings.
Service providers
We use trusted providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, payments, monitoring, analytics, fraud prevention, and support tooling. Paddle provides checkout, payment, tax, subscription, receipt, and refund-support services for paid plans. These providers process data only to deliver their services to PokerDeck and are bound by contractual safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, billing, legal, and operational purposes. Completed tournament history may be retained in anonymized or minimized form so other participants retain an accurate record of play.
During beta, account deletion is a support-assisted workflow. Approved deletion requests remove account and direct identity records, scrub copied contact data where practical, and preserve only records we need for legal, security, billing, or gameplay-history integrity.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We may need to verify your request before acting on it to protect your account.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, secure cookies, encrypted transport, monitoring, and operational logging. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong sign-in method and report suspected issues promptly.
Age restriction
PokerDeck is for adults only. Do not use the Service if you are under 18 or under the minimum age required to use an online entertainment service in your location.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Material changes to consent wording or meaning will ship under a new consent policy version and, where appropriate, be surfaced in-product.
